Timothy Revell is New Scientist's Executive editor. He has previously been Deputy US Editor, jointly responsible for launching our New York bureau, Comment and Culture Editor, responsible for the Views and Backpages sections of the publication both in print and online, and before that Technology News Editor. He has also run New Scientist's diversity internship scheme.
He is author of the popular mathematics book The Secret Lives of Numbers with Tomoko L. Kitagawa about how the history of mathematics is far more diverse, varied and interesting than often told. It is published by Penguin in the UK and HarperCollins in the US.
Timothy has a master's in mathematics from the University of Bath and a PhD in computer science from the University of Strathclyde.

This online event will start at 18.00 UK time on 10 December 2024 and will last for approximately one hour. Access to a recording of the event will be exclusively available to registrants for the 12 months following the live event. The on-demand recording will be available to view within 24 hours of the live discussion. Ring Central will email you a confirmation immediately after registering.
